Bulk Apothecary Essential Oils Review | Should You Buy From Them

When doing some research for essential oil companies I found this name advertised on Google. So who are they and should you buy essential oils from them? https://youtu.be/CJ2t5HEx7-A

I am starting an essential oil company unbiased reviews series. Because essential oils don’t really have a grading system or a standard of quality to keep to, often companies place carrier oils or not 100% pure ingredients in their essential oils.

Because essential oils and natural healing is something I am very passionate about, I thought I would start comparing various brands for you to help you decide which company is right for you.

I have begun this series with the company “Bulk Apothecary”
My first impression of the company is… not good.

Across the tabs you will notice a variety of product options..

So let’s address those, specifically the Misc tab.
upon opening that tab you will notice when scrolling down there are non organic products by CocoCola! And a variety of unrelated items for sale.
I point these out in my blog post:

So now let’s just focus on the essential oils section, it is very evident by the name of the essential oils, that Bulk Apothecary is selling another companies products, so they don’t own them or regulate quality.

That aside let’s compare the essential oils themselves to our checklist. We are wanting to have as many items on the checklist below as we can.

My Essential Oils Review Checklist:

Organic – YES
Undiluted -YES
100% Essential Oil – YES
Extraction Method (Distilled Is Best) – Crushed, Steam Distilled
Latin or Botanical Name of the Plant -YES
Country Where Plants Are Grown and Oils Are Extracted From – YES

So as far as our checklist tells us, this would be a safe company to buy essential oils from. However it is NOT a company I would trust because they themselves to don’t make the product – they are only reselling. So I would then likely buy the essential oils directly from their supplier instead of buying from Bulk Apothecary.

You NEVER mentioned the fact that there are no GC-MS reports displayed. That is the FIRST thing that I, and anyone, should look for when purchasing essential oils.

Sorry, but you are so wrong. Read the reviews on the company. They have a huge following of dedicated customers. They’re great and one of only 2 sources I use. Their products are great! Sorry, you’re missing out.

Do you not understand the meaning of “apothecary”?? It’s not an essential oil site. It’s an apothecary site. Sorry but you’re way misguided.

They’re so bad! Customer service is abysmal, and they don’t provide SDS info or allergen info on their oils. I asked for said info and they blocked my email address! Idiots.

What company would you recommend for carrier oils?

They sell bulk chap stick/lip balm and don’t list the ingredients. They say you can buy from them and slap your own label on them to sell them "as your own". How can you sell something without knowing what’s in the product? I do not trust this company and would never purchase any of their items. I found hundreds of negative reviews online about Bulk Apothecary. A few of the reviews said they found bugs and cigarette buts in their items ordered. I will not risk it. Your safety and your customers safety is worth more than that.
